The Mouthpiece: No Mouthpiece, ligature, or accessories are included. The Neck: The neck has approximately 90% of the finish remaining with very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections). Resonator Type: Buescher snap in pad/resonators. Pad Condition: The pads are in combination of newer and older used condition. The Bow: No dents in the bottom bow or bow guard. ![]() The Bell: No dents or evidence of bell edge damage. Player Wear: Very light general wear (minor if any surface imperfections). The Finish: It has approximately 90% of the lacquered finish. Playing Condition: This instrument is currently in excellent playing condition. Instrument Condition: The overall physical condition of this used instrument is excellent. This alto saxophone has that beautiful Buescher “Big B” sound that is so sought after with great overtones and fantastic intonation. It also comes in the original case, which is still in good condition and has the original keys. U.S.A.” This horn comes with the original neck, which is still in great condition showing no pull down. ![]() Below that are the words “The Buescher Aristocrat Elkhart IND. Near the top of the bell the signature Big “B” is engraved surrounded by scrolling leaves and elaborate engravings. The engraving on the bell is gorgeous and goes down the entire bell and onto the bow. It also has the signature “Buescher” G# key. The serial number dates this as a 1948 vintage horn. The serial number can be found on the back of the body and reads “314432” with the words “140 Buescher True Tone Reg.U.S. There are no dents or dings in the horn and no evidence of any major repairs. It has just come back from the shop where it was polished, had some pads replaced and adjusted so it plays great. There is some light speckle wear across the horn. This Buescher The Buescher “Big B” Aristocrat alto saxophone is in mint condition with around 90% of the original lacquer. ![]()
